Chad Sparrow, his brother Justin Sparrow, and Larry Walston have been friends for over 20 years. In 2015, the lifelong friends launched Mason Social, a contemporary American restaurant in their hometown of Alexandria. On the back of the success of Mason Social they decided to expand the restaurant group in 2018 with Mexican concept Urbano 116 and Augie’s Belgium Mussel House on the Patio. Their exciting restaurants blend both innovative architectural design, creative culinary offerings and craft bar programs to create a full experience for their guests.

Born and raised in Alexandria, VA, Chad Sparrow graduated Johnson and Wales University in Charleston, SC with an Associates Degree in Culinary Arts before starting his career in the restaurant business. After 5 years as a chef, he left the hospitality industry to begin a new career in construction management. An entrepreneur at heart, Sparrow decided to open his own construction business with his brother Justin Sparrow and friend Larry Walston called Advanced Construction Group. With ten years of success and continued growth, Sparrow followed his lifelong dream to open his own restaurant. Having worked in both back and front of house positions, Sparrow believes in quality ingredients above all else but also understands the importance of refined service and attention to detail.
